The Administrative Council of the Social Insurance Institute has added the categories of pensioners who will benefit from the narrowing of the pension gap for pensions granted in the ‘93-‘96 period. This decision affects the old-age benefits of those citizens who retired between 1 October 1993 and 31 December 1996 and worked in difficult jobs, such as the oil industry, metallurgy and the textile industry. The Deputy Director of the Social Insurance Institute, Ali Emini, says that there are 3,000 people who will benefit from this decision and who worked in difficult jobs, while, as for the amount they will receive, it is not
