The clash appeared as a conflict between the new and the old Immediately after the Second World War in Albania, the conflict over whether or not to support armed resistance against Nazi-fascism spread not only in political circles, but also in the intellectual and cultural milieus of the time. The writers who had taken part in the war with weapons in hand, also supported by political structures, continued their struggle to bring about the overthrow of the literary system as well, under the clear principle that “literature is only the literature of the Party.” At first, the clash appeared as a conflict between the new and the old; between progress and regression.
