The article presents new facts about the first journalistic publications in Albania. Thanks to Turkish historians, our public learns that the newspaper “Iskodra” came to light 11 years earlier than Albanian press bibliographers have known until today. So,
“Iskodra” first appeared in 1868 and was published again in 1879. With this shift of the date by a full 11 years back in time, the newspaper “Iskodra” becomes the first newspaper published in Albanian territories, leaving behind the newspaper “Prizreni”, which came out in August 1871 ...
