Let us remember a little more about Vincenzo Basile, although we have not failed to mention his name here and there, together with, in an analysis of the contributions of his fellow, Giuseppe Ign. Guagliata-s, to the culture of Albanian writing in the 19th century in the northern area. (“Buletin shkencor” 65 [2015] 24ff). There we noted, among other things, that the two share together the good and the bad that fate allotted them, when it brought them down to Shkodër in the years 1841-1843 with the mission to establish ... the first houses of the Jesuit Order, as well as — as expected (!) — to open there the first schools for the circles of the Catholic faith in that city.
