BIRN: The international community concerned about the ‘machinations’ of power in the elections Glover: Allegations of pressure on the administration and vote buying are worrying The International Election Observation Mission for the local elections of 14 May 2023 issued a preliminary report on Tuesday on the electoral process, describing the elections as dominated by political leaders and far removed from the real interest of voters in local problems. “The campaign was dominated by party leaders, with little consideration given to the interests of voters,” said Ambassador Audrey Glover, head of the ODIHR mission in Albania.
