The Freedom Party held its Steering Committee meeting today, while the leader of this political force, Ilir Meta, declared that Albania has now turned into a narco-state. According to him, accountability has been eliminated and the Parliament has been seized by the government, limiting the activity of the elected opposition representatives through special laws and exclusions. Meta stressed that this “democratic degradation has also produced economic ruin....”
