The lotteries return, Braçe and Xhafaj abstain from the law
The Socialist majority on Thursday approved the draft law to bring back online sports betting, making a last-minute amendment that takes away Parliament’s right to grant the National Lottery license. With 72 votes in favor and 2 abstentions, the law will restore sports betting after more than 5 years since it was shut down by the government. MPs Fatmir Xhafaj and Erion Braçe abstained, but without explaining their position....
