WILL FATOS NANO GO ON A HUNGER STRIKE?!

After numerous protests in various premises of the leadership of the PS and its parliamentary group for the release of Fatos Nano, supporters of the socialists and the opposition are seeking to intensify pressure on the authorities and find new, more effective ways. The opposition’s immediate step is the organization of demonstrations and rallies in cities, while another step being discussed and rumored is a hunger strike by Fatos Nano. From a conversation with the former mayor of Kavaja, Bashkim Fino, after the latter’s meeting with the leader of the PS, it emerges that he is in favor of Nano’s release at any cost. Meanwhile, Nano has explained the actions as lawful, but firmly continuing. The people of Tirana, the city where he is staying and the area with the greatest influence of the PS so far, had been considered for a hunger strike by Mr. Nano. It is not known whether this move will achieve the intended effect. READ ON PAGE 3
