Massacre in the center of Frankfurt Yesterday, at least three people of Yugoslav nationality were killed by a man who also wounded three others in the middle of the city of Frankfurt, according to sources in the German police. “He killed the other person with the weapon of a German police officer,” police officials said, adding that armed men were assisting him. Earlier, police officials announced that, on the side of the neighborhood where the incident apparently took place, a police officer survived a shootout with the suspect. Police identified the killer as an Albanian from Kosovo who had committed another murder a week earlier at Frankfurt Central Station and had killed a bus driver in the last quarter of the year. One of yesterday’s victims was the driver of a passenger train working for a Spanish company. The suspect moved aimlessly among other crowded passersby on the main street, among hundreds of people, in an attempt to hide from the police, while heavy gunfire, in broad daylight, caused hundreds of people to flinch and hide under parked cars. Police identified the killer as an Albanian from Kosovo who had committed another murder a week earlier at Frankfurt Central Station and had killed a bus driver in the last quarter of the year.
