Greek police shot on Sunday and wounded an Albanian woman after the car she was driving failed to stop for a check near the Albanian border. Two or three bullets struck and wounded her as she was leaving the car and they entered the border waters, Greek police said on Monday to the northern news agency. He said he was on the Greek side of the border and that the orders were to stop for inspection at the Greek road checkpoint. Those in the car opened fire against the police, who in turn returned fire, wounding the woman, the official said. This was the latest incident on the border, which has been tense in recent days.
