Selami’s move could block Berisha’s return to the PD
For the PD, at a moment when it is still at a crossroads, the possibility of restarting real reforms can also be chosen. What is more important is not the departure or the staying of the PD chairman. Selami’s move seems to be to resign his parliamentary mandate, since he had been a member of the PD and of its legal department before being elected to parliament. In this way he continues to be tied to the headquarters of the PD. This makes him an active man in the PD and the referendums concern both Selami and Berisha himself. The resignation of the PD chairman is nothing more than a bluff. If Selami’s moves remain only within the framework of individual dissatisfaction, it is certain that they will be minimized. Even if Selami continues to head the party assembly, declaring that the governing coalition may fail to win a single mandate, because that too would be part of reforming it. With his liveliness, the country has not secured anything normal either. But what matters most is Berisha’s departure from the PD.
