How the doctor became president
4 April 1995, three years since the day when
Three years ago, in an indifferent atmosphere, a group of Albanians gathered to follow the event. The country’s president, as requested from Tirana, insisted that he return. Kosovo, because of the serious condition of his patient in a part of Albania, and distrustful to the point of the shameful machine, he called for a conference and afterward drew the attention of parliament. Not yet officially President, a voice from the office took the exact view from the parliamentary doctor-surgeon. Amid the frenetic cheers of his supporters, he stood up, and at the only podium he ended a speech, called a track. Every word carried little and also stirred the hearts of his opponents when he said that Albania can be made only through a shared contribution by Albanians.
