According to Deputy Foreign Minister Xhufi, this meeting will take place under the patronage of the Austrian Foreign Minister, Alois Mock, and the European Union commissioner, Hans van den Broek. Xhufi clarified that our country has agreed with the Portuguese government to also work toward recognition of the independence of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, in line with the position being taken by the Council of Europe on this issue.
