Members of 3,500 families who had descended from the northeast to the Kamza hill protested in opposition to the actions of the security forces. Angered by the pulling back of what had been promised to them in exchange for part of the land where they lived and for their buildings, these residents, coming from poor and hopeless areas in search of a future once again for themselves, blocked for several hours 82 other families on the outskirts. As they exploded with stones and sticks, the regular police and the special units responded with force and by using weapons. The clash involved 11 families with stones and with guns - national road blocked, special forces intervene. For more than two hours, if the Albanian government of the day was faced with one of the most frightening events of recent days. The bloody clashes between residents and police ended with dozens of people injured and with the burning with police.
