The fierce battle of the new elections begins
“Goodbye, the sitting is over, the session is over. I invite you all to come together for a photograph in front of Parliament, and tomorrow I invite you to a cocktail to mark the end of Parliament,” were the heartfelt words Arbnori addressed to his MPs. After the group photograph, interviews, handshakes and farewells, the MPs left Parliament to make way for another battle, expected to be fierce: the new election campaign.

They arrived yesterday at midday at the registry of the capital’s Court of First Instance, marked as investigations completed, the case files concerning three more former members of the Bllok. Arrested in mid-December last year for Internment-Deportations, only one of them, Qirjako Mihali, had been convicted in the trial of the former members of the Bllok held nearly three years earlier. Along with the files submitted a few hours ago, six other files had also been sent to court two days earlier, bringing to nine the number of people arrested under the “Anti-Genocide” Law who are now only waiting for a date to be set for the start of proceedings against them.
Pirro Kondi, Qirjako Mihali and Sulejman Bushati are the names of the three former senior communist officials whose investigations were completed yesterday and who are expected to stand trial within the month of April
