Zëmi is arrested in Vlorë

Yesterday, a carefully prepared operation by TVSH units failed in the attempt to capture the arms dealer VISH-a, who could have become even more important in this chaotic time of unrest. Unexpected action by dozens of special forces last night in the Çole neighborhood Zëmi is arrested in Vlorë The most wanted boss does not resist: “In handcuffs and five others” Two TVSHs Yesterday, a carefully prepared operation by TVSH units to capture the arms dealer VISH-a, who could also have become the most important man in this time of unrest, failed. TVSH had prepared everything already in the early hours of the morning. Shife, who was supposed to be verazo(?) was under police target, and at least still in the center of the neighborhood. A few hours later, plainclothes agents, stationed at TVSH’s payroll, blocked a good part of the main road. There patrols at all the intersections of the neighborhood, the observers found him, but not at some pocket, rather the man. As part of the police operation, Sali Humo loosened his hands and moved to face them. “He had been ordered,” say residents. A few hundred meters farther on, in front of a building on “Vefë” street, the TVSH guard, shaken, was watching the movements of people. And yet the much-wanted man did not appear. “He left earlier,” say residents. Or else he was now on another street. “On the deck” — as the gathered residents here said. Then he disappeared. In fact, TVSH people had been watching him near the center since noon. They needed him again. Or, according to others, the police were carrying out an operation that could be nothing other than the capture of Zëmi, one of the emblems of the grim world of weapons in Albania in these months. TVSH units swept into Çole at lightning speed, opening fire with all weapons. Noise, screams and shouts covered the neighborhood for a moment. “If you’re not a fascist, you son of the devil! Put the gun down...” shouted one of the women. “Why are you shooting?” asked a boy. “Where did you get all this zeal from?” another woman replied. “There’s nobody here... they’re killing the children,” someone shouted. That was how long it lasted. Before five minutes had passed, he appeared running away heavily armed and with a bouquet(?) under his arm. Then he disappeared into a dark alley, while voices could be heard from afar. People gathered all around. But the target did not change. They went out into the yard whistling. “Arrest him, leave the dead man in place!” someone shouted. “Don’t kill people for no reason.” TVSH was pursued by curses and insults. Instead of surrendering, the police had to arrest him then and there under the ruins(?) and now they were cornering a man, opening fire. A few steps farther on, neighborhood youths came out onto the sidewalk from Zëmi’s mother. Trana(?) had covered her face with her hands and was screaming. A chair had been left between two policemen, who were trying to calm her. “Get up, where did the gang boss go inside you?” one policeman told her. “Why are you shooting, why are you killing?” his mother replied. By then most people had already dispersed. “Why didn’t you catch him before he came here?” asked a boy. More noise again. At least seven people went into the entrance and a TVSH group was beating on the doors. “He won’t surrender,” said a woman. “Is it him or not?” said someone else. Then the second patrols started coming down again, accompanied by other forces. The neighborhood seemed surrounded on all sides. Even so, he managed to get away. And as the neighborhood people started gathering again, silence suddenly came. TVSH had failed again. But a few minutes later an old man’s voice was heard: “They shot at nothing. They didn’t even find the weapons.” A stretched(?) police force, HAX(?), was seen alone at the center of Çole. Everyone turned toward him. No one expected him. “You’re alive,” shouted a woman. And yet it was not him. It was Sali Humo, captured on the morning as it was nearing its end. It was said that he had been brought in a van. At that moment everything changed. This time only one with the others. The surprise operation was somewhere and, with it destroyed, there is no doubt that Zëmi was arrested too. A short time later, Humo came, most likely without TVSH being under control. But this time in front of all the neighborhood people. And where he had failed in the first operation, he made the decision. Shortly after, people rushed in to watch. There was HAX(?) in the middle of the street with his hands tied behind his back, escorted by police officers. “No one will kill your son. Did you order it or not,” he said to a woman. “Come on, open the door, we’re waiting.” The other guards remained in the street. People began to follow him. “What did you do with Zëmi?” someone asked. “They both left,” said an old man. “But that’s not true,” cut in a policeman. And there, where a woman was crying, her hand began to tremble. Sali Humo’s mother again appeared, screaming. “Why did you take my son,” she said. “Don’t you know he is sick?” She was held by relatives while Sali was quickly put into the police car. People followed them for a few more minutes. “This is a disgrace,” someone said. “In our neighborhood you come and go as if we were not alive.” Then the street emptied, but the question remained: would TVSH return again? Photo with Zëmi? / TIXDORR KEKO It was at the moment that seemed no longer expected. The closure(?) of the sky was plowed by all the Shmyze(?) of Çani, known throughout Albania as one of Vlorë’s most powerful merchants, the most wanted. At least after the suspicions, the steps of the others and the capture. So, under the shadow after the action of the group, the voice from his gang seemed almost stopped on the threshold. The police have arrested him, but no, no. That is what we said. A few weeks earlier, the troops sent from Tirana had been mobilized to subdue him. Nevertheless, no one could find them. Now the scenario before takes a clear shape: Humo was nothing more than the ‘drawstring’. How could he have immediately alerted the fugitive and taken him toward the stairway of the building? People said he was leaving urgently.” Text(?) Watching Sali Humo (in the center of the photo) where his arrest took place
