From all these rather ordinary events, if the decisions of the RTV Board of Directors are viewed in isolation, then one might think that Aleksandër Meksi's government[?] is using a new technology, but many commentators explain it in a much more political way: these are all links in a chain against a growing opposition front. At least this is the message given by the publicly released position of the Tirana branch of the PD, where, in very harsh tones, the dismissal of the RTV director was described as an "arbitrary and anti-democratic act" carried out "in the most shameful way and without any motive". In the third statement, signed by the spokesperson of this branch, it is also said that "the state and the government have become one with the opponents of all new forces, the previous power holders. While condemning the dismissal decision, the leadership of this branch expresses concern, because the absurd removal of a central figure in the media is nothing other than a sign that opponents and the culture of freedom are not allowed." What is happening is explained as an attempt to "narrow for the opposition all means of communication with the broad public".
