Corruption, a costly affair
BY BLENDI FEZIU
Nano had summoned the dismissed prosecutor to his office once again. In recent weeks, the white-haired one. “We have gathered as a government, authorized,” he had said calmly and with authority, “therefore the decision is final, Mira knows your name and its execution.” Mira would draw him toward the neck, the general, republic, special and unacceptable Monday of the ministries, which he was then following and facing in that moment. It was not the first time; there had been such an occasion before. He had gone to Ylli Popa for the transfer, it had been the name of his replacement.
It is not known whether he had fully understood that involvement, whether he had ordered or desired it directly. That is how it has been edited up to this point. At least that is what two members of the government and a registered intermediary in the case have testified to us. These assure us that in the corridors of the hall, Nano, with strange clarity, had meanwhile conveyed his presence. The first curiosity would be whether the hitherto fate of leaving the General Prosecutor’s Office could cut short the possibility of initiating a process of legalizing smuggling money. A good number of chief prosecutors have insisted that it is clear that smuggling will happen, “to avoid organization,” in the name of a harsh moral code of the time, while the prime minister would cast a certain shadow over communication with the masses. Even more obscure in this respect remains what an Albanian prime minister himself would if he were drawing it close. At least these are the testimonies from the meeting in which members of the government were informed of the change at the head of the General Prosecutor’s Office. This was listed as? so that could? At least with such a government. It should have begun with the first public signs of a battle against corruption. It was such a time of conflict that the government could not avoid for long. “If we do not do it from Nano, he has given all the stones with Monday that he helped with this thing as he said,” one had said on Wednesday.
The news of the vote would be placed where it belonged. In the end, the long ring of confusion began to rise on the evening of another meeting. At least a few hours later, a posting exploded its entire meaning. In the government meeting hall, Monday was a completely incomprehensible battle. The next day, at lunchtime, a group of students from Durrës, Kavaja, Korça and Tirana, but also from Elbasan, “highlighted,” raised national flags. It was only proper, it was said, written, that the idea for such a thing should be born in the prime minister’s office. Nano was not in his office. He was in New York or, more precisely, in Rome, on Monday, in an unclear visit, at a political summit.
