UCK repels Serbian attack, a helicopter is shot down 25 km from the Albanian border

A few minutes after the Rambouillet exchange, Serbian military forces begin the offensive A Serbian helicopter was hit and shot down yesterday by UCK forces, while the move by the closest neighbour of this army, precisely at the moment when the signing of the peace agreement was expected any minute, had passed 12:00, but the deadline for entry had still not been set when the Serbian helicopter failed to fire, at the same time as it was reported from the Kosovo village. Sources from the municipality of Kumanovo, though unidentified, said the helicopter fell 25 kilometers from the border with Albania. It is assumed that there had been a clash with the UCK, because from a Serbian military base near the border a loud noise from vehicles was heard and an increase in military forces was observed in the area of Mount Pashtrik. Unverified sources claim that Serbian reinforcements were moving toward UCK positions, on the side of the area of Bublik. The entire event, at a time when Western diplomacy was trying to find an agreement to stop the killings in Kosovo, has caused great concern. The call for strikes against Serbian forces at the Pashtrik crossing was followed by Serbian movements and the concentration of forces at the border. KK.
