Albanians, who were disappointed yesterday by TVA’s failure to broadcast the Latvia-Albania football match (after the much-publicized advertisements on these private media outlets, once again using this channel’s standard phrase, “for the first time in the history of Albanian media”), have a popular saying: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me; fool me a third time, then... The first time was for the Rothmans tournament in La Valeta, when we all placed our hopes in the promise “for the first time...” The second time was for the Slovenia-Albania match, even though UEFA had already confirmed the news that the match was cancelled. The third time was last night, when Albanians learned the match result before TVA explained the reasons for failing to broadcast it “for the first time...”

Football: Latvia-Albania (0-0) Yesterday afternoon, most sports fans in the capital and the surrounding areas where the TVA television station can be viewed were disappointed by the station, which for two days running had advertised a live broadcast of the Latvia-Albania match, claiming it was “being shown for the first time in Albania by TVA and ‘Glina’(!).” As it turned out yesterday, none of it was true, leaving viewers disappointed and questioning the seriousness of the station in question.
