Gramoz Ruçi: The devil Majko should keep quiet!

After the PS presidency meeting, contradictions resurface again within the Socialist ranks page 2 Majko-Meta, different concepts of governance The changes in government have once again turned into a debate involving the entire leadership of the Socialist Party. During yesterday's meeting of this leadership, there was a strong clash between Prime Minister Majko and Interior Minister Sejdi Nosha, regarding the assessment the Socialist Party gives to the work of the public order minister. Some Socialists present at the meeting say the clash became more open, as in recent days dissatisfaction has also grown among some Socialists over the running of the country. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Majko also gave the work of the public order minister an assessment that was not exactly conciliatory toward the new spirit in the current cabinet, making opposition to changes in government a much-talked-about issue. At the forefront of the dissatisfied Socialists are, alongside Prime Minister Majko, Paskal Milo and Sabit Brokaj. All three oppose the removal of some ministers from the current cabinet. But when the government's mandate has expired, is the country entering a new phase of reconfiguration and of strengthening internal opposition? The muddle of co-governance and the intrigue of political scandals, and of officials who act without vision, is quite serious. Some of the bold steps taken by the government were also disregarded. Yesterday, at the presidency meeting, the Socialists once again heard quarrels, confusion, Skënder Gjinushi's lengthy speech, complaints against some officials suspected of corruption, and at times it seemed as though the government was losing its composure. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Majko, immersed in analyses on reviewing the government's work, returned to criticism of the role of the public order minister, without wanting to take on his own political responsibilities. At yesterday's meeting of the presidency, Majko also used the Kosovo refugee housing crisis to broaden the debate into a wider look at the cabinet. The discussion yesterday was charged with emotional tones, which in a way lead to open disagreements with the public order minister. However, there is a possibility that all this debate is linked not only to the government and the corruption of its officials, but also to the replacement of the chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group, with the consequence of increasing this rivalry. This means that changes in government may take on a new form in the coming days. Today, the internal divisions among Socialists appear clearer than yesterday. Majko is emerging as the representative of a wing that supports limited reforms and greater control of the executive, while Meta is determined not to cede ground in the name of new balances. In the meeting, two positions on the direction of government and the management of the situation created by Kosovo were clearly seen. Whether this split will deepen or soften remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
