After a relatively long pause in his work, the chairman of the PDS and moderate opposition figure has once again taken up a work rhythm, with a handover to govern the country at the beginning of next year. This could perhaps further stimulate Berisha’s parliamentary movement. This impression has recently also been created by the image of meetings in many different cities across Albania. Despite Berisha’s stated final position, when the PD left the opposition coalition because its allies were cooperating with Nano’s government, a new moment in the opposition movement is being observed, and this has recently been seen as a “shift.” Berisha’s absence from the field of political action has left the development of governance itself politically inadequate. Such developments, in sharp contrast to the “lordly calm” of the PDS for a longer period, have also led to consideration of the fact that in the capital and in the regions a movement and articulation of opposition has begun. Berisha has recently stopped by on a “tour” in several cities of the country and is using “wise words” for the media and businesses, entering into conversations by raising in meetings and on the social agenda old phrases from the past, when in the opposition landscape the leader built with polemics, a “caricature,” with the revival of the “autocratic” leader, the “break with parliamentarism.” Such developments, in clear contrast to the “lordly calm” of the PDS, have also led to consideration of the fact that in the field of this new action, the PD may perhaps be finding new space. In these first days of autumn, a good part of the polls can be seen, which now place it as the largest party in the country. What we have seen tonight is not a random articulation, but one that appears at such a pace. Meanwhile, Berisha’s relationship with his allies seems to remain calm, because his role within the opposition is now consolidated. This time, a greater balance is being sought in internal relations. Usually in such cases the scenario is made spectacularly, but this time it looks more like a calm repositioning. If this itinerary continues to the end, then for the PS of Mr. Nano it may be more difficult to preserve its current advantage. Junik will have a lot to say. To awaken the memory of recent history, the PS’s first “loss” has stood out; “Junik” was that point. As soon as they are heard to be governed in “reconciliation” from that period, the awareness that the government was at a disadvantage is coming to the fore.
