Fists and manipulation at the PS conferences

Gjirokastra battle, Krujë and Vlorë votes without a stamp Pages 2-4 The Socialists are learning from 26 May! Since the events of 1997, the idea of reforming Albanian politics has remained constantly on the agenda. The conflict-driven approach, the compromise without principles whenever the pressure of control and illegal trafficking ends, has led part of public opinion to sharply condemn Albanian politics at every turn and its leaders, always of the same mold and character. In the file of the lack of basic elements of a pro-Western logic and of being in a relationship of dominance-submission with politics, a new generation gains more alibis, as does the replacement of the corrupted and mafiosi with politically uncompromised and conflict-driven figures, as part of replacing the political system of traffickers with a chief, anti-constitutional and clan-based tendency by corrupt leadership. It has been only two months since Fatos Nano, although he came out of line with his foreign counterparts and was strongly constrained by the overall balance of the government’s weight, gave up his role. I personally want to believe that the candidacy of Pandeli Majko for head of government was an act of extremely great political significance, and on that day and in the days that followed, the events in Greece? the general sense that the desire for a new leadership of the conference and administration within the PS, as much as they are blows within its ranks, have managed to influence the perception that a corrupt government without substantial intervention would thus be irritated, so that this demand for governmental change and in finding the specifics from the reflection of recent political moves. It has been about six months for the party chairmanship, but for the leadership of the state and government it still remains as ripe as it is clear. Let us emphasize even that the fall of the government and the appointment of Paskal Milo as Foreign Minister created a kind of specific atmosphere toward future governance, where there is little chance that any accountability different from the manipulated one will produce energy or reflect quickly because reforms are blocked. When has it been so widespread? and less than 20 months after the first and only extraordinary PS conference held in a risky setting, the swift and conflictual changes would lower the image of Albanian governance, if such a confrontation for the leadership were to deepen and this could also go beyond. To avoid risks, a balanced political approach to publications about the PS is normally needed. Manipulation of votes and violations of procedures are among what is happening at the PS district conferences, on the eve of its national conference, which begins work on 9 October and which will most likely appoint the delegates who will vote for the party and government leadership. Let us recall that on 26 May of this year there was the PS conference in Gjirokastër. The leader of the left for that district, Muntaz Dhrami? and its leader Hekuran Isai [sic?], and the undisputed former prime minister [Sh?] Nano for party chairman. It was said that Paskal Milo was in “disagreement” in Gjirokastër, but this has to do with then? at least in an organized and directed manner through telephones and local governments the proper part has participated with manipulations. Judging by what is happening at the conferences in several districts, it is clear that the party led until yesterday by Nanos for party chairman is undergoing a 19-year-old, sent to Greece!
