The written press in crisis faces a national strike
From a corner of the DMN, last night, another free press also emerged. Under the management of a class of professional politicians, the written press will very soon be presented as a political terror weapon against opponents. In these days, an entire swarm of politicians, who day by day have been overturning democracy, are finally making huge efforts to somehow bind the press, separately and legally, as the only tool of democracy and, by turning it from a power into a ruthless instrument of this regime, take away freedom and independent journalism.
This press is not brought down by hungry institutions; it sets out the true works. The appearance of this issue comes with public opinion, informed, and not only with public opinion, but also with the priority that one more newspaper, one more media outlet, means one more reflection of reality. Thus, everyone will make the press the place that presents their diaries and their extreme conformism.
Government, the current Prime Minister, based on the present state of the media, has given a European encouragement to the press as a crowd. This makes it not heavier and more free than soon, but within it also introduces a psychological climate of internment for the birth and execution of the right to information.
Today, with this severe situation, journalists’ associations, while preparing for this national strike, are waiting for a reaction, and perhaps there will also be a public response.
