For the fourth time the American ambassador clearly placed American foreign policy in support of the prime minister and the reforms of this government. “I think, within the meaning of this expression, it means that we, our country, for policy, in support of reform in Albania, will be in parallel line with the government in the Albanian vote with rights,” Ambassador Limprecht added that the work of this government is first and foremost the work of the U.S. embassy. In the meeting with the cabinet ministers, he informed them that the soon-arriving “diploma” from the “first diploma” of MEPD, within the meaning of this expression, will be the country. The changes in Government will bring only positive changes and in this direction the vote will also have an impact. In yesterday’s statement, Ambassador Limprecht added that: “Do not use the podium to incite violence and threaten public order”; otherwise the threats will receive the appropriate punishment. He warned political forces to avoid harsh rhetoric and actions that undermine public peace. Speaking about the political climate, the ambassador underscored the need for dialogue and focus on reforms. The U.S. remains firmly committed to supporting stability and democratic institutions in Albania.
