THE FULL VICTORY OF DEMOCRACY REQUIRES THE COMMITMENT OF ALL HONEST INTELLECTUALS

[partial text, the photographed page is inverted and some parts are unclear] GJIROKASTRA has had and has intellectuals of its own, whom we once had in the governance of the country and we carried out our duty honestly. Now such people exist and must remain so; they must look at the present and examine differences in an open society on the one hand, and to achieve the economic, social, spiritual and intellectual transformation of our people, who is playing a special role in the region, in Europe and in the world. PD will always welcome and give its support to Albanian intellectuals. [Other parts of the article are not clearly readable in the image.]

For a party organized according to Western models

The archive of the PD branch in Gjirokastër DAVAS ESMAILI, FIER, SEPTEMBER 2011 [visible note in the image or later stamp] [The article text is mostly only partially legible.] ... post, because when I returned from a conference of the trade union association in Tirana, I did not find the chairman in the structure. Everywhere in the center of the city the PD branch's call for a second youth conference was posted. In July, the organizational secretary of the PD, Gramoz Pashko, came to Gjirokastër and assigned me to take charge of its organization. Afterwards, the initiative committee was set up and we began meetings with interest groups. In my speech I emphasized that without an organization according to Western models, the party cannot face the new political challenges. There was also discussion about the role of the sections, sub-branches and links with the electorate. At the meeting, different views were expressed about the way leaders should be elected and about the relations between the youth forum and the leading structures.
