Even babies are not frightened by the bogeyman of fascism in Albania

On the pages of "Zëri i rinisë", it seems that all accusations and slanders against the opposition and the Democratic Party have been exhausted, so, finding nothing else to invent, the magazine’s publishers are trying to throw dust in the public’s eyes with their false anti-communism. And they can do this quite well as long as they have managed, like the devil avoiding incense, to sidestep any description of their old Stalinist ideology. In its latest issue, the magazine has invented a new lie about the cabaret-style image of the model of the successors of the Soviet Union. That fascism is coming and that all the actions of the democratic government are a display of Hitlerism. They are even ready to prove it, but since there is nothing but insults and insinuations, arguments are completely lacking. The published article takes as its starting point certain decisions and actions of the government and tries to present them as state terror, deliberately confusing democratic order with dictatorship. The author of the article, hiding behind old propagandistic rhetoric, tries to convince the reader that Albania is sliding down a dangerous path, but in reality he is simply repeating the old schemes of frightening people. If there is one thing Albanians have experienced firsthand, it is precisely the red fascism of the communist dictatorship, which shot, exiled, imprisoned and impoverished the country for decades. The attempt to call the fight against crime, the enforcement of the law, or the normal running of the state fascism is a commonplace political deception. Those who yesterday kept a rotten system standing by force now want to present themselves as defenders of freedom and democracy. But citizens are no longer so easily deceived. The bogeyman of fascism in Albania no longer frightens anyone, let alone babies.

The bad luck of Pojan of the Socialist Party

With F. Nano at the helm, the Socialist Party will end up with failures and defeats The disputes and bad mood within the party that lost the 22 March elections continue to unsettle the Socialist Party. The move for an extraordinary congress, to review the leadership and draw the conclusions of the defeat, is facing strong opposition from the old leadership group. According to the article, Fatos Nano remains at the center of the PS crisis. His supporters insist that the party must preserve unity and its current course, while critics stress that with him at the helm the PS has entered a series of political defeats, isolation and failures. In this context, the meeting in Pojan is also mentioned, where the debates took on a harsh tone and opposition to the official line was openly expressed. The article seeks to portray a picture of deep division within the Socialists and to suggest that the party’s future will be full of defeats if it continues to be led by the same people. The black face of the red clan

In a statement that does not leave the media alone, so much so that by silence it has even been left to the authorities themselves to write leaflets from the international community, it has tried to make a meaningless contrast with some public positions of the opposition. The published text attacks in harsh tones the figures it considers political opponents and tries to revive the old rhetoric of class struggle. The article aims to denounce the red clan as responsible for the political and moral degradation of the country and accuses them of manipulation, propaganda and efforts to keep alive the old structures of influence. Agon Sula, Agim Trarivi[?], Vilson Ahmeti and socialist corruption before justice

"Truths" are at a crossroads before themselves. Their involvement in activities that have severely damaged the public interest is becoming increasingly clear. The article mentions names linked to the administration and to socialist political circles, who are accused of violations, abuses and corrupt affairs. According to this material, justice must act without compromise against anyone who has abused their position, regardless of political standing. This is presented as an important test for the rule of law and for breaking away from the old practices of impunity. (Continues on page 4)

The remains of 13 people killed at the border by the communist dictatorship are found outside Albania’s border

The 13 people killed at the border during the communist dictatorship include a series of tragic cases in which they were executed while attempting to flee or cross the border in violation of the rules of the regime at the time. There is also a group of victims who were killed at the border, but whose remains ended up outside the border line, on Yugoslav or Greek soil. Viktor Çela was killed in September 1974 while trying to escape in the Bilisht area. His body ended up 87 cm beyond the border and was not allowed to be retrieved. Later, he was buried as someone killed on foreign soil. Another case is that of Gaqo Dallëndyshe, who was killed on 2 February 1986 while attempting to cross the border near Grabomica in Delvina. His body remained 16 cm beyond the border line and for years could not be brought back. Also mentioned is the case of Ylvi Laçi, killed in September 1983 near Tirana[?], whose body likewise ended up outside the border. Also mentioned is the case of Zyber Murati from the village of Menkulas in Devoll, killed on 17 September 1991 in the Kapshticë area, where his body remained on Greek soil. The case of Ndue Pepa, killed on 2 December 1991, is also part of this account, where his remains were found outside the border. These cases, according to sources of the time, illustrate the brutality of the communist regime at the border and the tragic fate of many Albanians who tried to leave the country.
