The start of works for the reconstruction of the Durrës-Tirana railway line is inaugurated
Yesterday afternoon, at the Shkozet railway station, in the presence of the Minister of Public Works and Transport Arben Imami, senior railway officials and Italian financial institutions, the official ceremony was held for the start of works on the reconstruction of the Durrës-Tirana railway line. The project is part of a broader package for the modernization of Albanian rail transport. According to official data, financing for the first phase is provided by the Italian side and by Albanian state structures. It was emphasized that the Durrës-Tirana line is of special importance for the transport of passengers and goods. The works will include interventions on the track, signaling and auxiliary infrastructure.
