Nano 3, a failure at the start

The secrets of the “broad base” of governance. The non-socialist lineup as proof of complicity. The internal challenge of co-governance. The grotesqueness of discontent Barbarians bare their old claws The Albanian socialists are warning every day that their coming to power will be accompanied by a strategy to dismantle all democratic values, which Albanians built with difficulty during their difficult transition after the years of cleansing from the communist dictatorship. From ambitions to realign in a constitution with a cannibalized parliament and the coronation of future prime minister Fatos Nano as “king,” the socialists are promising a physical and institutional revanchism unseen until now, ever since communists first appeared in this country. In an interview yesterday, the leader of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano, showed Albanians that the aims of his team are for Albania to go back to the year in which the former communists lost power for the first time, after more than 45 years of rule by the most “reborn” among them. This means that their primary goal is to erase all the shared values that Albanians built, having the huge and fatal disadvantage of being in opposition to the fiercest and most cruel communists in Eastern Europe. If Nano says that the Albanian state closed the Greek minority into ghettos, then there is no room left even for the most basic logic; Albanians must instead think that everything they achieved in these difficult years must be turned to dust and ashes by the barbaric kingdom. With such logic, not only would no Albanian or minority member accept it, but one would also have to search far in Greece to find people who believe the agricultural fairy tale of the extremists there about the alleged mistreatment of the Greek minority in Albania. Here it is not only a matter of Nano or many other PS leaders and the deputy foreign minister falling prey to the claims of the most anti-Albanian circles about Vorio-Epirus, by opening graves and with Peshkëpi and all the martyrs and victims massacred by the barbaric attacks of Greek ultranationalists in the history of this country. In this case he is very close to the MAVI machinery and to mass destruction, the head of Peshkëpi and the Greeks who suffered the bloody trap in Sopik of Gjirokastër. But here it is a matter of the future prime minister of Albania throwing mud and hatred at the unquestionably achievements of the Albanian state, one of which has been the treatment of the Greek minority, acceptable not only to minorities but also to the international community and Greece itself. If the former communist who is coming to power easily disputes even very well-known and countless facts shared by all Albanians, such as the relations with the minority, imagine what they can do with things that are debatable or with those that are not easily likable or acceptable. The socialists are promising a root-and-branch destruction of laws, institutions, and social relations, with the replacement of the administration and the throwing of people out onto the street because they supported the first democratic Albanian state, after 50 years. Nano’s arrogant statements throughout these days are the smallest stone in the assessment of Albanian democracy. In this condition, Albania is a horizon threatened by a typical communist revanchism or by responsibility for destroying the governing infrastructure for 6 years of long anti-democratic rule. The threat before is the constitution, which must not be touched, and above all the parliament of the Kalashnikovs, which has a conditional mandate, from the complicities of the time that follow, as well as the public thirst of the socialists.

Parliament awaits the election results

The calling of Parliament and the formation of the Government are the most urgent problems for the country President Berisha meets Fino The President of the Republic, Sali Berisha, held a meeting yesterday with the head of the Government of National Reconciliation, Bashkim Fino, the President’s press office announced. Berisha expressed his welcome for the Government of National Reconciliation under Mr. Fino’s leadership. President Berisha and Mr. Fino discussed the calling of Parliament and were both of the opinion that, after the final election results are announced, convening Parliament and engaging in the process of forming the government are the most urgent problems for the country.

Nano’s promise in Vlorë to return the money is not only unworkable, but also shocking The Austrian press on the latest developments in Albania When the enraged crowd chants with him, a slight smile slips across Fatos Nano’s face, while his advisers grow worried. A week ago, the election winner Fatos Nano, immersed in the first excitement of the people of Vlorë, was able to deliver the prepared speech he had written for the occasion. Nano promised his supporters in Vlorë that he would give back the lost money. His promise is not only unworkable, but also shocking. In 1990, when the end of the Albanian Stalinist regime was inevitable, two people were entrusted with taking Albania’s problems into their hands, Gramoz Pashko and Fatos Nano. Pashko joined the democrats, only to split from them again after a short time, while Fatos Nano remained in the Communist Party of Labour. In March 1991, after the semi-free elections, Nano was tasked with forming the government. After three months of de- 1995, in which the Albanian soldiers lost their lives, it was the Albanian government. We can remind Mr. Nano that it was under the orders of Greek officials that the involvement of the Greek extremist organization MAVI in this crime was confirmed. We hope that the statements of the disputed socialist prime minister do not reflect the course of the future Government. The PD calls on all Albanian parties as well as patriotic elements to oppose any policy of the Nano Government that tramples on the national interest, the national question and Albania’s dignity. High political and national irresponsibility

We hope that the statements of the disputed socialist prime minister do not reflect the course of the future Government. The PS leader insults Albanians in Macedonia and takes the terrorists of MAVI under protection In his long interview in “Zëri i Popullit” on Sunday, 13 July, the leader of the PS, Fatos Nano, considers that the PD and its government are responsible for the recent incident in Gostivar and Tetovo, which according to him is nothing other than a “primitive bloody Balkan confrontation between the Macedonian and Albanian sides”. The PD considers this statement completely irresponsible in relation to what is happening with Macedonian police and military units, since they deny their rights and national freedom. Fatos Nano, by equating Albanians and the Macedonian police that use unjustified violence causing dead and wounded, showed high political and national irresponsibility, which is very problematic and alarming, especially for a person who aspires to become prime minister. The assessment is that Nano’s positions are in complete contradiction with the statements on this issue made by Prime Minister Fino and by the PS secretary for foreign relations, Mago Lakrori. We also consider Nano’s insinuations scandalous that the terrorist act in Peshkëpi e Sipërm, in the year

Nano: We will bring down all the firms

After the promise to return the money In his interview to “ZP”, Nano not only says nothing about returning the money, but also promises that he will bankrupt the remaining firms, the rentier ones that still have productive activity. Nano’s ambition to bankrupt the remaining firms was reflected in a series of projects and efforts by the Socialist Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, and by Prime Minister Bashkim Fino. "Now we have no obstacle to doing what we want," Nano declares, and at the same time announces that his government will work to bankrupt all firms that do not have productive activity. The likely prime minister of the Socialist Government has not only forgotten the electoral promise, but also intends to deepen even further the economic ruin of Albanians.
