At this point Albania's situation is very grave, since there are few countries in the world that have officially requested the landing of foreign armies on their territory. If we refer to Fatos Nano's government strategy, it is moving toward resolving the crisis by placing the country in front of uncontrollable dangers. To distract the opposition from public attention and to condition any of its moves, the government has begun to play with the threat of landing foreign forces as the last means to gain political ground.
