Convention for Dictatorship

editorial By Shemsi PEPOSHI Fatos Nano, on behalf of the PS, announced the “convention of values” at a closed party meeting. What is most... striking about this “convention of values” is the fact that it is being offered for discussion and approval by political forces and civil society! In fact, if you look at the developments in Albania over the last decade, what stands out most clearly and immediately is that the heir to the Albanian Party of Labour, the Socialist Party, has refused to acknowledge a body of historical values belonging to Albanians and has fanatically defended all the regression and the darkest periods of Albanian society. What Fatos Nano offers to be accepted as shared values of the Albanians, in fact constitutes the greatest national and civic affront to Albania and the Albanians committed by the PS. on page 5

Prosecutocracy

(or the government of the government) By Halit SHAMATA Before he had even properly become prime minister, Ilir Meta unexpectedly and spectacularly attacked the prosecuting authority, the Prosecutor’s Office of this country. By way of jogging your memory, I can tell you that this happened precisely on Flag Day on page 3 Meta hesitates to respond to the opposition’s demands Godo: The State Audit Office should be transferred to the DP

The government protects Azem Hajdari’s killers

Today, 462 days since the murder of the December Leader Every day that passes since the murder of Azem Hajdari, the symbol of democracy and pluralism, proves the involvement of Fatos Nano’s government and his incapacity in the crime that shocked the entire Albanian world. The government of the former communists, which leaves free and undisturbed the criminals who took the life of the December Leader, answers the Albanians that they have been and are on the side of the murderers, whose names are [?] but who are not touched by those in power. The Democrats and all the Albanians who drove out and honored Azem Hajdari cannot tolerate this fact under any circumstances. The government must either capture the criminals and bring them to justice, or publicly declare that it itself committed the murder of Azem Hajdari.
