Commemorative rally in “Skënderbej” Square

On the first anniversary of the murder of Azem Hajdari One year after the murder of the hero of Democracy, Azem Hajdari, the PD calls on all democratic Albanians to gather in “Skënderbej” Square in Tirana on Sunday, 12 September, at 18:00. With flowers and candles in our hands, let us remember our hero, whom the dark hand of state crime took from us a year ago, while the murderers are still free. Let us all gather peacefully to remember our heroes, but also to remind those in power that the spirit of democracy will not be brought to its knees until the murderers and organizers of Azem Hajdari’s murder are punished.

The government protects Azem Hajdari’s murderers

Today, 364 days since the murder of the December Leader Every day that passes since the murder of Azem Hajdari, a symbol of democracy and pluralism, proves the involvement of Fatos Nano’s government and his successor in the crime that shocked the entire Albanian people. The government of the former communists, which leaves free and unpunished the criminals who took the December Leader’s life, shows Albanians that they have been and remain on the side of the murderers, who have names and identities but are untouched by those in power. Democrats and all Albanians who loved and honored Azem Hajdari cannot tolerate this under any circumstances. The government must either apprehend the criminals and bring them to justice, or publicly declare that it itself committed the murder of Azem Hajdari.
