Since Albania has recorded setbacks in all fields over these 3 years, it remains unprepared to benefit from this major initiative of the international community. This was the main message of the grand protest rally organized yesterday in Bilisht with the participation of thousands of citizens, protesting against the anti-national and corrupt policy of the government “Nano-Meta”. The Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe is an initiative launched and led by the European Union and strongly supported by the United States of America. Its implementation requires the fulfillment of several basic preconditions, such as: stability in the country, public order and safety, the return of property to its rightful owner, strengthening of democratic institutions, respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms, etc. These requirements are essential for Albania and for the success of integration processes. Within this framework, yesterday's demonstration in Bilisht represents a strong political and civic act against misgovernment, corruption and police provocations.
