With the failure in Skopje, Ilir Meta and his irresponsible government had given Albanians a questionable explanation. They even tried seriously to defend it by portraying an illegal participation, doing everything they could through their propaganda to close a wound that in the end turned out to be incurable. But the Protokoll masquerade in Brussels was extremely serious and shows that it was never meant to inspire confidence in the Albanian side. The supposed stories that were propagated, being only a discrimination of the Balkans, perhaps the government which clearly deserves a harsher treatment.
