The "Pact" is shrinking in Albania
By Sami NEZA
The latest adjustments in the international substitute plan yesterday made the projects, funds, the place of Southeastern Europe and what will be financed within the framework of the Stability Pact, in the condition of economic weakness and use to help, even less clear. Thus, yesterday the figures were found to have fallen in many areas, and still there is a reduction. Albania is the country ranked 4th in terms of benefits and a drastic drop in the declared investments at 4 percent. This drop is not only a criticism in Brussels, but also a strong alarm for the Albanian government and its policies, especially after the requests it has submitted to the international community with great delay and the concrete preparations, as well as in the management of the funds. The purpose of yesterday's published document was to shorten the list of projects and harmonize them by focusing more on the economic and infrastructural ones. Thus last night in Brussels, the investment for Albania was valued at only 4 percent of the overall package of 2.4 billion euros, but the government still does not know the investment figures and the institutions

President Meidani's latest stance on the need for political cooperation for the escalation of relations between the government and the president over the electoral code and the process of electing the heads of the communes seems to have caused a strong reaction in the government in the positions and statements made yesterday by the prime minister, but in a much closer sense to a minister. In the spokesperson's response and in the careful wording of the prime minister's statements, it seems he also said that the president is the ongoing problem in the administration of the parties and the Albanian majority. In the government's language and in its translation, the president apparently is the Stability Pact
