Berisha’s small defeat and great victory
From Pristina,
Astrit PATOZI
The opposition leader, Sali Berisha, lost a single battle yesterday. Pristina, one of the places where the representative of chief demonstrator Tomi Bërnsi, who was illustrating the name of Kosovo’s capital, was banned by Mr. Kushtet for “security reasons” with the utmost zeal. Even so, yesterday was undoubtedly a great victory for him. Berisha was the cause, the pretext and the epicenter of everything that happened yesterday in Kosovo. He enlivened the lukewarm political climate, awakened lost hopes for another life beyond misery, and restored people’s thirst for freedom.
The chief demonstrators of Kosovo were not only numerous Albanians, but also outraged and clear-minded. Likely equally clear was the question they asked in chorus of the demonstrator, why it happened that the chief administrator of Kosovo would confirm him as a man who had carried out the administrative acts contrary to those of a free country.
