By Sali BERISHA Today marks three years since the Albanian nation replaced free elections with the establishment of the harshest dictatorship, under which laws and order were no longer applied, but instead the country was governed by terrorist gangs linked by political crime and mafia clans. In power through such an election, honest people never rose to the helm of the state. The only success of Nano’s government and of his successors has been crime and the enrichment of their families through corrupt means. His communist retreat, as I call this government, which throughout the world was made into a ten-year affair by Belgrade and its clique from Kosovo and the whole of them appears in Shkup and Tetovë, so many percent, fully recounted and inaugurated for the creation of a dictatorship based on the power of gangs and mafia clans. Their only goal is the destruction of the freedom, wealth and democracy of Albanians and the majority of them down to the level of poverty. In three years every state institution was destroyed. The country was turned into Albania of ignorance, unemployment, misery and crime. The average salary in the public sector was cut in half. The teacher’s and nurse’s salary, the pension, social assistance and unemployment benefit became ridiculous. Per-capita consumption in Europe, thus the lowest level, remained at the level of the world’s poorest countries. The decline in industrial production by over 100%, in the production of goods by 100%, in agricultural production by 100%, in exports and losses in the private sector and in foreign aid show that Albania’s fall in three years has been plunged into hopeless misery.
