In March of this year, the Lezhë Prosecutor’s Office managed to investigate a vote-buying crime in the commune of Dajç in Zadrima and found there a “Ruzhdie of Zadrima,” point by point exactly as the opposition candidate, Rok Prroku, had denounced it. The commissioners of the majority, supported by the passivity or opportunism of some independents, had inserted votes in the name of emigrants by forging signatures. A few weeks later, the Lezhë Court fully upheld the indictment that the prosecutor’s office had brought in this case against the manipulating commissioners and sentenced them according to each one’s responsibility. The media have written and spoken enough about this rare event, which touches only a small part of our electoral gangrene. The protagonist of this bog, the first of its kind in Zadrima, where elections have been systematically undermined for years by middlemen and activists of the ruling parties, was Rrok Prroku.
