Comment BY HALIL MATOSHI Nationalism as paranoia The cultural and political elites in Albania, but also those in Kosovo, have left no deception or malice untried, so that the pressure on the sleeping citizens would be so great that they would not give love and faith to the fatherland of the Kosovar Albanians - the state of Kosovo. Because at this stage, when citizens would connect with the state, with its constitutional order and laws, with the symbols and the spiritual constitution (collective memory), ethnic nationalism would be completely weakened and civic patriotism and statism would begin to strengthen; in other words, the de-ethnicization of the state and civic solidarity among Kosovars would begin. When, in the middle of 21 January 2013, the Serbian gendarmes caught up with Presheva, asleep and without dreams, by “stealing” a commemorative stone (like a grave epitaph), it became clear that the Government of Serbia was exploiting the moment to begin the end of the Serbian imperialist state in northern Kosovo!
