Editorial BY ARBEN RROZHANI An old film Apart from the government and those who are behind it and linked to it, the others are, shall we say, somewhat upset by the decision of the Tirana Court two days ago to declare the guardsmen not guilty, who are accused of having killed four people and injured dozens of others. Most shocked by Prime Minister Berisha’s stance, who called an emergency press conference to speak about chemical fabrics, when the mud has reached the nose of every non-government Albanian. But there is nothing to be shocked about. Everyone knows Prime Minister Sali Berisha. You cannot accuse him of killing. How many Albanians were killed in the early months of 1991 in the unrest started by his new party, to overthrow the anemic governments of the former communists turned socialists? How many Albanians remained in the mountains in order to flee as fast as possible from the country that was suffering famine, crossing the mountains into Greece and the sea into Italy? How many Albanians, if not four thousand, were killed by the near-civil war that broke out when his pyramid scheme in March 1997,... continues on page 21
