Comment BY ROMINA BEQIRI 21 January and Strasbourg In line with the Court's decision on the 21 January case, which acquitted Ndrea Prendi - former chief of the Republican Guard - and Agim Llupo - guard - as a researcher in Human Rights and International Criminal Law, I decided to look into the judgments of the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and what the European Convention on Human Rights (here: ECHR) provides regarding the use of lethal weapons by the police and the 'respect for the right to life. According to Article 2 of the ECHR, “Everyone’s right to life shall be protected by law”.
