Comment BY PREÇ ZOGAJ The public, a major force in elections On the eve of the new election campaign, voices have grown louder, especially from the pro-government camp, that these elections have no storyline, that their outcome will be determined primarily by the tactics and alliances of the parties, by agreements or deals at and under the table, in other words, by an entire electoral engineering outside the polling station, based on gathering and subtracting frozen votes, on removing and shifting party symbols, which in this case are considered pockets, bags and saddlebags of votes. The launch of engineering, that is, of building victory as a mechanical combination of percentages, essentially affirms only the idea of the ruling coalition’s inability to win by balance, as is the custom for any government. Under these conditions, the political leadership and opinion-makers in this coalition place their greatest hopes precisely on the backstage game of the elections.
