Commentary BY PREÇ ZOGAJ The program as the key word The two-day convention of the Socialist Party on the Program passed like the most thorough scan that has been made in the last four years of the country’s overall situation and at the same time as the most transparent and serious effort any opposition has made to calculate an electoral Program for the public in full view of the public. Through the way it was organized and the way the topics were presented, the convention marked a significant step forward toward standards of professionalism and was a novelty for our political tradition. A novelty that, if repeated and improved in the future, will remain as the foundation of a good habit. At the very least, without going into the assessments, analyses, and proposals made by various speakers, it can be said that the Convention gave a clear answer to the key question asked in every election campaign and increasingly highlighted from one election to the next: Does the opposition aim to win simply because of the government’s wear and failures, or with a concrete and detailed program?
