Commentary BY PREÇ ZOGAJ Agolli’s House and cultural memory Devoll has a precious cultural heritage, but the name of the distinguished poet and writer Dritëro Agolli has, for today and for times to come, raised to a high level the standing and importance of this southeastern region on the national cultural map and beyond. Who does not know why. Dritëroi is from Devoll, he was born there, specifically in the village of Menkulas. Anyone who goes, and will go, to Devoll as a visitor, Albanian or foreign, will certainly want to go to Menkulas, to see the house where the future poet first saw the light of day, to become acquainted with the memories linked to his childhood and other periods of his life.
