I have the impression that this will not be the last coffee we drink together. Now we need to start the real ones.
The situation you and the entire Democratic Party are going through is one that calls for attention and deep reflection. No one expected this major failure of the right wing. The PD activists did not expect it, but to be honest, neither did many on the left expect such a spectacular failure.
Personally, I think there are several reasons for this big loss:
You have lied, from start to finish. The people around you, members and leadership, the National Council, the parliamentary group, the base structures of the PD, people who everywhere try only to curry favor and say “Long live the King” and “Down with the King.”
Mostly, they lied to you about the reality on the ground. There, the most ardent and committed Democrats were targeted even more than the left. You asked for money for jobs, votes in exchange for a job. They lied to you saying how happy Albanians were, how much they felt the great changes you and the government you led had gifted them; how much businessmen, big and small, loved you; But in no case did they show you the staggering fines that went...
