Commentary BY ZEF BROZI PD, Renewal, New Beginning or Continuity? With their vote in the 23 June elections, the voters, including thousands of ordinary Democrats who voted for the opposition, decided to break away from the democrature and from the moral and political pollution of government. Albanian citizens once again demonstrated a higher level of civic maturity and political wisdom than their politicians and rulers; they sent the message that they will no longer vote as blind party militants, but will judge honesty and concrete actions, not government promises. Therefore the first gratitude and thanks go to those who, by voting for the opposition, also gave PD a chance to free itself from Berisha's two-decade-long anti-democratic rule.
