Commentary BY AFRIM KRASNIQI A new beginning in PD, a missed chance The “race” for the new chairman in PD ended just as it had been planned: without upheaval, without analysis, without debate among the candidates, without transparency in the procedures and without political novelty. The two names allowed by the old leadership to run were very tired in their efforts to create the atmosphere of a race, they held numerous meetings across the country, gave speeches and made promises, but in essence, - they failed to give the race the proper city and integrity it was supposed to have. The reasons are numerous and typical of an unreal race. PD is the first political party in the history of the tran- sition to lose elections, and makes a formal rotation in leadership without going into opposition, that is, it chooses the leadership team of the opposition while being in power.
