Commentary BY AFRIM KRASNIQI Everyone in the Persian Gulf, no one in the USA? Albania’s foreign policy has defined its priorities: European integration, strategic relations with the USA and the EU, a policy of stability in the region, as well as a platform for expanding economic cooperation. The current majority has confirmed the same priorities, with some adjustments or additions, mainly by trying to find economic support resources in Turkey or several Asian areas of the Persian Gulf. Faced with economic difficulties, official Tirana has carried out the ritual of a state in need: endless visits and lobbying in countries believed to have economic potential and short-term interests in a greater presence in the Albanian market.
