COMMENT BY ILIR DHIMA Defamation in the context of destabilization Like many other offenses, defamation is also one of the criminal acts that concerns some of the most delicate aspects of everyday life: the honor, dignity, and reputation of different people. Therefore, these two offenses cannot help but become highly debatable in practice, and indeed widely applicable in jurisprudential experience and in world legal doctrine. The intensity of their use in our country, especially in relations between politicians from opposing sides toward one another, has also been the reason for addressing this issue with the dangerous or harmful consequences that arise from the repeated, even permanent, exercise of these offenses.
