Editorial by CARLO BOLLINO Nine days have now passed since the start of his protest, and it is already clear to everyone that it was two great fears that pushed Lulzim Basha into a tunnel in which he lost his bearings and from which he can no longer find the way out. Fear turned into panic stripped him of every shred of rationality to the point that he organized a protest that he now does not know how to end without being humiliated. The first fear is that of losing the next political elections and, consequently, also the mandate of Democratic Party chairman, thus ending his future career without any glory, but also without managing to put his past political history in order. And it is precisely in his past that the other great fear arises, which shatters the dreams of Basha and, along with them, those of the Berisha family: the risk of ending up in serious trouble on corruption charges from a magistrature that vetting would finally make independent. to be continued on page 9
